Conduct in Campus
It is important for students to consistently demonstrate proper conduct and should adhere to high standards of discipline both on campus, in the hostel, and off the institution’s premises.
Students must ensure that their actions, whether intentional or accidental, do not harm the reputation of the institution or any related entities.
Misconduct and Disciplinary Issues
Students causing or attempting to cause any disruption to the Institution’s activities, whether directly or indirectly, will be considered in violation.
Failure to follow instructions from faculty members or showing disrespect towards them is deemed misconduct.
Students who frequently miss classes, lectures, tutorials, practicals, or other courses are considered in violation.
Misbehavior, arrogance, or violence towards faculty, staff, or fellow students is unacceptable.
Not attending scheduled class tests, internal exams , final exams, or other assessments is considered a breach of rules.
Allowing unauthorized individuals to stay in hostel rooms or any institutional accommodation is prohibited.
Possession or use of firearms, weapons, explosives, or any dangerous substances on campus is forbidden.
Actions that embarrass or annoy students, staff, or authorities are considered misconduct.
Theft or damage of any property belonging to the institution, staff, or students will be treated seriously.
Gaining admission through false information or fraud will result in immediate cancellation of admission.
Students who do not regularly complete assignments or show poor academic performance will be barred from exams.
Absence from lectures, practicals, or tests without prior permission will result in no compensation for missed classes.
Regularly checking notices on boards in academic areas, libraries, and departmental notice boards is required.
Any damage to college property, including tampering with equipment or furniture, will be viewed seriously. This may result in forfeiture of your caution deposit or even lead to significant penalties.
Unauthorized recording of images or sounds of individuals without their knowledge is prohibited, as is sharing such recordings. Violators will face legal action under cybercrime laws. The management will fully cooperate with the police and will file complaints without any hesitation against those who breach these rules.
Using mobile phones or headphones during college hours is not allowed. If caught, a fine of ₹5,000 will be imposed for the first offense. If the offense is repeated, the phone will be confiscated, and a penalty of ₹25,000 will be charged. A third violation will result in suspension from classes for one week.
Students must maintain at least 80% attendance, including seminars, discussions, and other non-lecture activities, to sit for exams.
Students are required to dress appropriately with a lab coat, and ID card on all working days and during clinical duties. Revealing, tight, or transparent clothes are not allowed. Sleeveless outfits are prohibited. For girls, wearing a churidar with a top that extends below the knees is mandatory. For boys, a neat, formal shirt, pants, and shoes are required during working days, clinical duties Nightwear and shorts are not permitted in the library and in night clinical postings.
Admission will be canceled for failing to submit documents on time, not meeting eligibility criteria, providing false information, or not paying fees will lead to cancellation of admission.
Ragging in any form is strictly banned, both on campus and off-campus, following UGC,NMC and KNRUHS regulations.
Every student must complete an online Anti-Ragging undertaking at admission and at the start of each academic year.
Smoking, consuming alcohol, or using banned substances in college or hostel premises is prohibited and will lead to suspension or expulsion.
Students must maintain good behavior, academic progress, and attendance. Regular reviews will determine if students are allowed to sit for exams.
All fees, including tuition and hostel fees, must be paid by the due date. Late payments will incur penalties and could result in loss of admission.
Fees for subsequent years must be paid by the specified date to avoid penalties.
Examination fees must be paid on time. Failure to do so, even with penalties, will prevent the issuance of hall tickets.
Fees paid are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other purposes.
During exams, students are under the control of the exam center Incharge. Possession of unauthorized devices or materials is prohibited.
Any malpractice or unfair means during exams will result in disciplinary action as per the examination manual.
Only registered students of FCIMS are eligible for hostel accommodation.
Failure to pay hostel fees after reminders will result in immediate eviction from the hostel.
No posters or pictures should be placed in the hostel rooms or common areas. Fines will be imposed for violations.
Lights and fans must be turned off when leaving the room.
Water taps should be closed to prevent wastage.
Dining services are available only in the mess; room service is not provided.
Sick students must report their condition to the warden for assistance with medical treatment.
When leaving the hostel, students must sign out in the register with a valid reason.
Permission from the parents and Chief Warden/In charge sister is required to leave the hostel for outings. Written requests from parents or guardians are necessary to vacate the hostel
Hostels must be kept clean. Students who fail to maintain cleanliness may be expelled from the hostel.
The hostel is intended to support academic progress. Students failing to contribute to a positive environment or academic performance may be required to vacate the hostel.
A committee will be constituted with head of the department concerned and Dean/Director-FCIMS will be the Chairperson.
A written notice will be given to the student about the alleged misconduct.
The student has maximum 3 days to respond in writing to the charges.
If no response is received, the inquiry may proceed without the student’s input.
The student may view relevant documents at the discretion of the inquiry authority.
The student can present documents or evidence in their defense.
The inquiry authority will record findings and submit a report with recommendations to the competent authority.
Based on the findings, the competent authority will issue appropriate orders.
The above procedure may be bypassed if the student admits the charges in writing.
Students who receive disciplinary actions such as fines or rustication can appeal to the Director within 15 days of receiving the order.
